The National Teaching Council (NTC) has announced an important update for teachers in Ghana as part of the process for issuing new license cards. Teachers are required to update their profiles on the Teacher Portal Ghana with details about their subject specializations and provide proof of certification. This update is necessary to ensure the smooth issuance of the new license cards.

Why This Update Is Important

It is the aim of the National Teaching Council to align teaching licenses with teachers’ specific areas of specialization. By updating their profiles, teachers help the council maintain accurate records and streamline the licensing process. This initiative will enhance professionalism and confidence in Ghana’s teaching workforce.

Step-by-Step Guide to Updating Your Profile

To assist teachers with this process, the NTC has outlined the following steps:

  1. Visit the Teacher Portal Ghana
    Go to the official portal at tpg.ntc.gov.gh.
  2. Log In
    Enter your username and password to access your account.
  3. Access Your Profile
    Once logged in, click on the “Profile” tab to begin the update.
  4. Navigate to Public Teacher Information
    Scroll down to the “Public Teacher Information” section.
  5. Update Role Class Level
    In this section, click on “Role Class Level” to select your role class. Be sure to attach the required proof of certification.
  6. Select Your Major Subject
    After saving your Role Class Level, a new field will appear for selecting your “Major Subject.” Choose the subject you specialize in and upload your certification as proof.
  7. Save Your Changes
    Ensure all fields are completed and click “Save” to finalize the update.
