In a significant development for the Eastern Region of Ghana, Ursula Owusu, the Minister for Communications, recently commissioned three state-of-the-art 20-seater ICT Laboratory Centers in Suhum, Awisa, and Asuom.

These centers mark a significant step towards achieving President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo’s aim of ensuring digital access for all citizens, made possible through a project under the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC).

The journey to bring these ICT centers to life was not without its challenges. The Suhum Computer and Information Center (CIC) project, in particular, had been initiated during the tenure of former President John Agyekum Kuffuor, but it remained unfinished for over 16 years.
