In a bid to stay at the forefront of education and meet the ever-evolving demands of the modern world, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is set to unveil four new academic programmes in the upcoming academic year.
This exciting announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor of UPSA, Professor Abednego Amartey, during the 15th Congregation Ceremony, which celebrated the graduation of approximately 4,986 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The four new programmes, currently undergoing accreditation processes, are designed to offer students an array of opportunities for personal and professional growth. They include a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Communication, a Master of Philosophy in Marketing, and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.
These additions to UPSA’s academic portfolio are carefully crafted to align with industry trends and market demands, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing cutting-edge education and addressing the evolving needs of students.
Professor Amartey expressed his enthusiasm for these programmes, highlighting their dedication to offering world-class education that equips graduates with the skills necessary to excel in their chosen fields.
“Our commitment to educational excellence and relevance drives us to constantly adapt to the changing needs of our students and industry,” Professor Amartey said. “These programmes are a testament to our dedication to providing world-class education that equips graduates with the skills necessary to excel in their chosen fields.”
This move to introduce new academic programmes is not a one-time endeavor for UPSA. Earlier in the year, the university introduced six other innovative programmes, demonstrating their dedication to staying ahead of the curve in education.
These programmes included a PhD in International Security and Intelligence, a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Arts in Media and Digital Communication Management, a Master of Philosophy in Media and Digital Communication Management, a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Transport Management, and a Master of Arts in Digital and Strategic Marketing.
