The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has lauded the outstanding performance of students in this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to the Minister, these results mark a historic achievement, revealing the highest level of academic success since the initiation of the Free Senior High School policy in 2015.
Dr. Adutwum attributes this significant milestone to the positive outcomes spurred by the Free Senior High School policy.
In a recent engagement on JoyTV, he expressed his commendation for the impressive results and highlighted the transformative impact of the policy on the educational landscape of the country.

Delving into the details of the WASSCE results, Dr. Adutwum emphasized the improvements across various subjects. Integrated science, in particular, witnessed a remarkable surge, with the pass rate soaring from 28.7% in 2015 to an impressive 66.82%.
