The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has officially launched a new electronic payslip website aimed at improving payroll access and security for government employees across Ghana.
The new platform, known as GOG Employee PayServices, is now accessible via gogepayservices.com and replaces the previously used payslip portal, gogpayslip.com, which has been phased out.
According to the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department, the migration forms part of ongoing efforts to modernize public sector payroll systems, enhance data protection, and provide a more user-friendly experience for employees.
New Payslip Portal Goes Live
With the launch of the new website, all government workers are now required to access their monthly payslips exclusively through the GOG Employee PayServices portal. The system allows employees to register, manage their accounts, reset passwords, and generate payslips online.
The platform introduces additional security measures, including Ghana Card verification and One-Time Password (OTP) authentication, to safeguard employee payroll information.
Registration Now Mandatory for Employees
Government employees who previously accessed payslips via the old portal must complete a one-time registration process on the new system before gaining access.
The registration process requires employees to:
- Enter their employee number
- Verify their identity using their Ghana Card
- Confirm and update their phone number (mandatory)
- Create a new password and select a security question
Any discrepancies in employee biodata that cannot be edited on the platform must be addressed through official HR departments, the CAGD noted.
Password Reset Made Easy
The new system also provides a simplified account recovery and password reset process for employees who forget their login details or experience account lockouts.
Users can reset their accounts by answering their security question, verifying their phone number via OTP, and setting a new password before logging back into the system.
Payslip Generation Now Faster
Once logged in, employees can generate their payslips directly from the dashboard by selecting the desired month and year. Payslips are generated instantly and displayed as PDF documents, which can be downloaded, printed, or viewed on screen.
The CAGD says this feature will help reduce payroll-related delays and allow employees to access salary information at their convenience.
Old Payslip Website No Longer in Use
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has clarified that the former payslip website, gogpayslip.com, is no longer active. All payroll-related services have now been fully migrated to gogepayservices.com.
Employees are therefore advised to stop using the old portal and begin using the new platform immediately.
Official Tutorials Available
To assist users, the department has released official video tutorials demonstrating how to:
- Register on the new platform
- Reset an account password
- Generate and download payslips
These tutorials are intended to ensure a smooth transition for all public sector workers.
Conclusion
The launch of the new GOG Employee PayServices website marks a significant step in Ghana’s public sector digital transformation agenda. By consolidating payroll services on a secure and modern platform, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and user satisfaction for government employees nationwide.
Government workers are encouraged to visit gogepayservices.com to register and begin using the new payslip system.
