Dr. Eric Nkansah has officially confirmed his departure as the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES). Reflecting on his tenure, Dr. Nkansah expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation in this vital capacity.
In a heartfelt statement, he acknowledged the significant role of divine guidance, saying, “Ebenezer! This is how far the Lord has brought me! Glory be to God.” He also extended his appreciation to the former President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for appointing him to the position on October 19, 2022, and to the former Minister for Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, for his leadership and support during his tenure.
Dr. Nkansah highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including the GES Council, management, staff, labor unions, students, parents, development partners, civil society organizations, the media, and the general public.
