The Management of the Ghana Education Service has released the official documents required to grant a teacher with the Service an inter-district transfer.
Within the Service, there are three (3) different forms of transfers and each one of it has its own required documents to be submitted during application.
The different forms of transfers within the Ghana Education Service are:
- Intra-district transfer
- Inter-district transfer
- Inter-regional transfer

GES inter-district transfer
Within the Ghana Education Service, an inter-district transfer refers to the transfer where a teacher is moved from his/her current district to another one.
For a teacher to be granted such a transfer, he/she must submit these official documents:

- Application letter
- Filled inter-regional reposting form
- Current payslip
- Assurance letter
- Certificate(s)
- Bank clearance
- Covering letter to be submitted to the Regional Director of Education for final approval
