The Ghana Education Service has officially reaffirmed the much-anticipated reporting date for first-year students, and it is time for parents, students, and the general public to mark their calendars.
According to the Placement form, the reporting date for SHS 1 students is set for the 4th of December.
In an effort to streamline the commencement of the academic year, GES is expecting schools to initiate the registration and orientation processes for the incoming students starting from December 4. This crucial period will set the tone for the students’ transition to the next phase of their education.
The academic calendar further outlines that a well-deserved Christmas break will commence on the 21st of December, allowing students to spend quality time with their families and recharge for the upcoming semester.
Classes are scheduled to resume on the 3rd of January, continuing uninterrupted until the 5th of March 2024.
As the academic year progresses, the Service encourages all students who are yet to complete their Self Placement to do so promptly. This will not only facilitate a smoother administrative process but also ensure that everyone is ready to dive into the academic challenges that lie ahead.
GES notes that the collaborative effort of all stakeholders in supporting the CSSPS process is highly appreciated. The commitment and patience shown thus far have been instrumental in reaching this point.
It is imperative that this momentum continues to ensure the seamless implementation of the SHS academic calendar, bringing us back to the pre-Covid rhythm.
