The National Teaching Council (NTC) of Ghana has once again extended the registration deadline for the 2024 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1, in response to requests for more time from concerned parties. Originally set to close on February 20, 2024, the registration period was initially extended to February 29, 2024, to accommodate delays in uploading candidate data onto the NTC portal. Now, in a recent development, the deadline has been further extended to Thursday, March 14, 2024.
This decision follows a petition received from the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), highlighting the need for additional time to facilitate the uploading of qualified students’ data from the Colleges of Education onto the NTC examination portal. Recognizing the importance of ensuring a fair and inclusive registration process, the NTC deemed it necessary to grant this extension, allowing all eligible candidates ample opportunity to complete their registration seamlessly.
With the new deadline in place, prospective candidates now have until March 14, 2024, to register for the GTLE 1 examination. The NTC urges all concerned individuals to take advantage of this extended registration period and complete the necessary registration procedures in a timely manner. Detailed instructions on the registration process can be found on the official website of the examination at exams.ntc.gov.gh.
In light of the registration deadline extension, the examination dates have also been rescheduled. Originally slated for March 17 to March 19, 2024, the GTLE 1 examination will now take place from April 22 to April 24, 2024. This adjustment aims to accommodate the revised timeline and ensure that all registered candidates have adequate time to prepare for the examination.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to stay updated with further announcements and developments regarding the GTLE 1 examination. Any inquiries or concerns regarding the registration process can be addressed by contacting the NTC directly via phone at 0552828853, 0302986325, or 0302986318.
