The National Health Insurance Scheme card can now be linked/merged with the Ghana Card.
Members of the scheme have therefore been entreated to link the two cards as Ghana Card will be used in place of the NHIS card.

Simple steps to link NHIS & Ghana card
- Dial *929# on all networks (MTN, Vodafone, Airtel-TiGo)
- Select option 4 (Link Ghana Card) and press send
- Enter your Ghana Card Personal ID number without the hyphen (E.g. GHAXXXXXXXXXX)
- Press send
- Enter your NHIS Membership Number (on the front of your NHIS ID Card)
- Press send
- Congratulations, you have now linked/merged your NHIS Card with your Ghana Card
