Simple steps to repay student loan via ghana.gov

The Students Loan Trust Fund was established in December 2005 under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106.

The objectives of the Trust Fund are to provide financial resources for the sound management of the Trust for the benefit of students and to help promote and facilitate the national ideals enshrined in Article 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution.

For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the Trust Fund, monies from the Trust Fund shall be applied to the relevant activities that the Trustees of the Fund may determine, including, in particular

1. The provision of facilities to enhance the tertiary education to support students.
2. The provision of moneys to support any other activities and programmes for the promotion of relevant courses as determined by the Trustees, in consultation with the Minister.

The Students Loans Trust Fund is governed by a Board of Trustees that comprises of distinguished individuals of relevant backgrounds relevant to the business of SLTF.

In today’s guide, GESHub.org has outlined the simple steps to follow to repay your student loan via the ghana.gov website and enjoy an e-levy waiver.

Simple steps to repay student loan via ghana.gov

  1. Go to the Student Loan Website sltf.gov.gh
  2. Select “Pay Loan”
  3. If you have a Student Loan account already, click on the login button and provide your Login details (i.e. Social Security Number), then go to step 6 and continue the process
  4. If you Do Not have a Student Loan account already, still click on login button and provide your login details (i.e. Social Security Number)
  5. You will receive a code via email and text message to complete the process, then continue from Step 6 below
  6. Select “Pay My Loan”
  7. Confirm you details and proceed
  8. Select “Ghana.gov”
  9. To Pay via any bank of your choice, generate an invoice
  • Complete the fields and the amount you wish to pay, and select generate invoice (print or save soft copy of the invoice generated)
  • Walk in to any nearest bank of your choice and present the invoice generated, to pay at the counter or
  • Pay Online using the Ghana.gov platform
