The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has issued a statement addressing concerns surrounding the upcoming Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), which is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, September 13, 2023, to Friday, September 15, 2023.
Rumors have been circulating about a potential increase in the pass mark for the GTLE, with some suggesting it could be raised from 50% to 70%.
However, TTAG wants to clarify that, as of the moment, there has been no official communication from the National Teaching Council (NTC) or any relevant authority regarding such a change in the pass mark.
The leadership of TTAG is actively engaged in discussions and efforts to obtain official information or documents regarding any potential changes to the pass mark. They understand the significance of this issue for Newly Trained Teachers, who are preparing to sit for the examination.
In light of the approaching GTLE, TTAG extends its best wishes and support to all aspiring teachers. TTAG encourages these candidates to stay focused, remain positive, and continue their preparations diligently to pass the examination, regardless of any potential changes.
TTAG also assures candidates that any official updates or changes related to the GTLE pass mark will be communicated promptly once they receive official confirmation from the relevant authorities.
In the meantime, the Association advises candidates to disregard any unofficial information or rumors circulating and to rely solely on official announcements from the NTC and TTAG for accurate and reliable information.
