GES announces date to release 2024 graduate recruitment appointment letters – Check Here!

In a recent press briefing held on 4th July 2024, the Ghana Education Service (GES) announced an update for the 2022 graduates from Public Colleges of Education. The GES has introduced a new ‘self-posting’ module, which is set to revolutionize the recruitment process for newly trained teachers. The most awaited part of the announcement is the release date for the appointment letters.

Release Date for Appointment Letters

Qualified graduates who applied for recruitment through the GES platform will be able to access their appointment letters starting from 5th July 2024. This window will remain open until 31st July 2024, giving applicants ample time to select their preferred Region, District, and School for posting.

Steps to Access the Appointment Letters

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the GES promotions portal.
2. Verify Qualification: Enter your College Index Number to verify your qualification.
3. Provide Contact Details: Accurately enter your phone number and NTC number for validation.
4. Enter OTP: A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your provided phone number. Enter this OTP to proceed.
5. Select Preferences: Carefully select your preferred Region, District, and School.
6. Save and Print: Save and print out your Appointment Letter.

Verification of Appointment Letters

Each Appointment Letter will have a QR Code for validation. Applicants can scan the QR code with their smartphone to verify the authenticity of the letter. This feature is designed to eliminate the incidence of fake appointment letters.

Successful applicants must then proceed to their respective Regional Education Directorates with their Ghana Card and other necessary documents for verification and further directives.

The GES’s new ‘self-posting’ module aims to streamline the recruitment process and ensure that newly trained teachers are posted to regions where they can effectively communicate in the local language, fostering a more conducive teaching and learning environment.
