The National Service Scheme (NSS) has declared a piece of welcome news for the 115,240 national service personnel who have recently completed their mandatory service. The government has released funds for the payment of allowance arrears, covering the period from January to May 2023.
The official press release from the NSS Management, dated December 7, disclosed that these arrears would be disbursed by the close of business on Friday, December 8. This timely release aims to address the financial concerns of the service personnel who have been patiently awaiting their allowances.
Furthermore, the NSS assured the service personnel that the allowances for June and October 2023 would also be settled in the near future. This additional commitment is likely to provide further relief to those who have completed their national service.
Expressing gratitude for the patience exhibited by the service personnel, the NSS Management, led by Executive Director Osei Assibey Antwi, emphasized their dedication to processing the remaining allowances as swiftly as possible.
As the NSS Management works diligently to fulfill their promise, service personnel can look forward to the release of arrears covering January to May 2023 by the end of Friday, December 8.
The subsequent disbursement of allowances for June and October 2023 adds an extra layer of assurance, alleviating the financial strain on those who have recently completed their national service.
As the NSS works towards fulfilling its commitment, service personnel can anticipate a more stable financial situation in the coming days, providing them with the much-needed reassurance as they embark on the next chapter of their professional journey.
