The three main teacher unions in the country; Ghana National Association of Teachers, National Association of Graduate Teachers and Coalition of Concern Teachers Ghana, have reminded government about the review of the 2020 Collective Agreement for teachers under the Ghana Education Service.
According to the Unions, the Collective Agreement which was signed is subject to general review after being in force for three years.
This is pursuant to section 41.1 of the Collective Agreement for teaching staff with the GES document which came into effect in August 2020.
The Unions in their letter to the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission reminded the Commission that the Collective Agreement document will run its scheduled three-year span in August 2023 and therefore needs to be reviewed.
GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT_GH has therefore asked FWSC to set the necessary machinery in motion so that they meet to undertake the said review as soon as possible.
