The Ghana Education Service (GES), under the leadership of Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General, has issued a new directive to all Regional Education Directors regarding the reposting of newly recruited teachers. This directive is aimed at ensuring a streamlined and efficient onboarding process for these educators, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the established procedures without deviation.

Immediate Action Required: Document Processing

Management has communicated the need for immediate action in processing the documents of the newly recruited teachers. Each teacher’s appointment letter includes a QR code that is essential for verifying their appointment. This QR code provides comprehensive information about the recruit, ensuring that all necessary details are easily accessible and verifiable.

Verification Process Enhanced

In addition to the QR codes, GES has introduced a verification link tailored for each Regional Office. This link serves as an additional layer of authentication, allowing Regional Offices to further confirm the validity of the appointment letters. This dual verification system is part of GES’s commitment to enhancing the integrity and transparency of the recruitment process.

Directive Against Reposting

A key element of the new directive is the strict prohibition of reposting any of the newly recruited teachers. Regional Directors have been explicitly instructed that under no circumstances should any reposting occur. This measure is designed to maintain order and consistency in the deployment of new teachers, ensuring that they begin their assignments as planned without unnecessary delays or disruptions.

Addressing Concerns

GES has also outlined the protocol for addressing any issues that may arise during this process. Any concerns or problems encountered by the Regional Directors should be promptly brought to the attention of the Director-General. This open channel for communication is intended to quickly resolve any issues and support the smooth implementation of the new recruitment process.

Commitment to Innovation and Success

Dr. Eric Nkansah expressed confidence in the support of the Regional Directors for this new recruitment innovation. The initiative is part of GES’s broader efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its recruitment practices. By leveraging technology for verification and enforcing strict guidelines against reposting, GES aims to create a more organized and reliable system for integrating new teachers into the educational framework.
