NTC Teacher Portal Ghana | Simple steps to create account & update details

The National Teaching Council has urged all qualified teachers of the Ghana Education Service to register at the NTC Teacher Portal to facilitate their licensing.

The registration for in-service teachers allows profiles of teachers to be updated as part of the initialization process for licensing.

In today’s guide, we have detailed the information that would be required for one to successfully create and update details on the NTC Teacher Portal Ghana platform.

Registration processes

To begin with, you must note that the preferred browser should be Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

1. Visit NTC Teachers Portal Ghana platform at tpg.ntc.gov.gh/account/register
2. Enter Account Type (Teacher OR Organization)
3. First Name
4. Last Name
5. Other Names
6. Email Address
7. Telephone
8. Password
9. Confirm Password
10. Click Register
11. A confirmation code will be sent to the email you used to create the account. check and enter the confirmation code sent to your email. This code will expire in 15 minutes.
12. Use the six digit code sent by NTC Teachers Portal Ghana to access the portal.
13. Setup your teacher profile.

Personal information required

10. Place of Birth
11. Hometown

Verification documents required

1. Proof of Rank (Recent Payslip or Appointment Letter)
2. First Professional Qualification (Certified True Copy of Diploma, Degree or Masters)

Academic entry information required

1. Institution Type (Secondary or Tertiary)
2. Institution Name
3. Qualification (BECE, WASSCE, DEGREE, MASTERS etc.)
4. Proof of Qualification (Certified Copy of Certificate)

NOTE: You have to input academic information required one by one.

Thus, Secondary and Tertiary.

Employment history information required

1. Function (Teacher in Classroom OR Teacher in Administration)
2. Institution Name (Current Work Station)
3. Position/Rank Held
4. Level (Kindergarten, Primary, JHS, SHS, Vocational or Technical)
5. Date of Assumption of Duty
6. District
7. Proof of Employment (Appointment Letter OR Payslip)

Upload your passport picture. Passport Picture must be a JPG, JPEG or PNG image. All documents to be uploaded must not be more than 5MB in size.

NB: All other file uploads must be PDF files.

Teachers who cannot verify their Staff ID should send Payslip and SSNIT ID card to it@ntc.gov.gh and expect a response in 48 hours.

Kindly note that,

1. Those who have registered already and gotten 100% are not included in the present registration. Most teachers in this group have been given their new Registered Numbers via SMS.
2. Those who registered but couldn’t reach 100% must go back to the portal and complete. They will receive new Registration Numbers afterwards.
3. Non professionals will be registered after this exercise and issued temporary license.
4. Data on those recruited after August 2018 has been worked on. They can log in to update their information.
5. Those who have passed GTLE but are not yet employed can also register. However, they have to pay Ghc200 for the full license.

For GES staff, NTC has already prepopulated some basic information about them on the portal. Please ensure that your name on the portal tallies with what is on your professional certificate.
