The management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has expressed heartfelt congratulations to all freshers embarking on their academic journey at what is hailed as the world’s premier institution for quality education, particularly in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4.
As part of the university’s commitment to ensuring a seamless transition for incoming students, a robust set of Safe Arrival Protocols has been established. Notably, University Officials, University Security, and Police Personnel will be strategically stationed at key points on the campus to guide and assist students as they familiarize themselves with the university environment.
The much-anticipated arrival day is set for Saturday, January 6. However, prior to this, freshers are encouraged to engage in Online Course Registration, taking place from Wednesday, January 3, to Monday, February 5. Simultaneously, the Biometric Registration period spans from the arrival day, January 6, to February 5.
Residential Orientation for both Halls and Hostels is scheduled from Sunday, January 7, to Friday, January 12. Following this, Academic Orientations at the College, Faculty, and Department levels will unfold from Tuesday, January 9, to Friday, January 13.
Ensuring the well-being of the student body, a comprehensive Medical Examination for all categories of students will take place between Thursday, January 4, and Friday, February 9. It is crucial for students to adhere to the stipulated registration timelines, as failure to do so will result in automatic deferment.
Lectures are set to commence on Monday, January 15, marking the beginning of the academic year. Matriculation ceremonies, a significant rite of passage for every student, are scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, and for IDL students on Saturday, February 10.
The university emphasizes that both Online Course Registration and Biometric Registration are mandatory for students to be officially recognized as duly registered members of KNUST. To facilitate the accommodation process, students seeking lodging are directed to visit kosass.knust.edu.gh or reach out to the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA) for assistance.
For those without personal transportation, it is advised to opt for KNUST-embossed taxis at the Tech-Junction for a safe and reliable journey to the campus.
