On the historic day of July 26, a resounding victory was etched into the annals of KNUST’s history as Yvonne Osei Adobea was elected as the first female president of the Students Representative Council (SRC).
Against fierce competition from five other contenders, Yvonne garnered an impressive 8,282 votes, securing her position by a considerable margin compared to her main opponent, Abraham Rockson, who managed only 4,568 votes.
Yvonne’s journey to this triumph was not without its challenges. Last year, she bravely contested for the same position but faced defeat.
